Topic: A Personal History of Civil Rights
Guest: Col. Axel Henri (ret.), author, Ain’t No Mountain Too High
Axel Henri is a 65 year old African American . 40 years ago as a young soldier, he began recording his observations of how black people were treated in American society. The  notes are now a book that chronicles integration in America in a very personal way. Col Henri will discuss  his observations on the black experience in America.

Today is the 90th birthday of former president Ronald Reagan. More and more people are living longer lives, but unfortunately, not necessarily healthier lives. President Reagan is an example of someone who took care of his health but is never the less suffering from Alzheimer’s and just recently underwent orthopedic surgery for a broken hip. Our guests will discuss what we and our families can do to help create a ‘golden years’ atmosphere for our loved ones.

Secretary of State Colin Powell made the Africa bureau of the State Department his first stop on his get acquainted tour of the building. Nigeria is now the United States’ fifth biggest supplier of oil while Angola is the eighth.  Africa is obviously as important to the United States as the United States to Africa. Our guests will discuss the possible changes in this administrations policies toward Africa and how those changes might be actualized.

On Tuesday February 6th the citizens of Israel go to the polls to elect a new Prime Minister.  Polls have been indicating that incumbent Prime Minister Ehud Barak has been trailing far behind his challenger, Likud Party leader, Ariel Sharon.  Our guests will discuss the outcome and impact of the election

Duty First is about leadership. About developing the best qualities in others who would be leaders. AWest Point graduate and instructor, Ruggero will discuss the West Point leadership school and how what is taught there can and should be applied to all people in leadership roles.
