She overcame polio and being widowed with a young child during World War II. She remarried, started her own business and traveled. She's been to Mongolia, China, Russia and many other places. We'll discuss Eleanor's life and international travel adventures.

Vinegar plus HPV test identifies women at risk for cervical cancer. Using this test combination accurately detected 63 percent of the 208 cases of precancerous disease in a sample population of African women. This combined test was developed by the joint efforts of Johns Hopkins University and the University of Zimbabwe.

What kind of person becomes a spy?  And what kinds of mistakes give them away?  Antonio Mendez spent his career as an agent for the CIA.  He became known as the "master of disguise."  Dr. Charney is a psychiatrist who has studied spies and was a defense expert in the case of Earl Pitts, an FBI agent charged with espionage in 1996.

The "Village Success Club" is a nationwide effort to increase literacy and build social and cultural bonds among African-American boys.  It's a community and internet-based initiative that has been created to improve skills in reading, citizenship, entrepreneurship, art criticism, and media literacy for those participating in the program.  Our guest will discuss this unique program and the goals they hope to accomplish.
