Topic: Religious Freedom in Sudan
Guest: Michael Young, US Commission on International Religious Freedom

The U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom has found the government of Sudan to be the world’s most violent abuser of the right to freedom of religion and belief. The Commission also found that religion is a major factor in Sudan’s ongoing civil war. Lawrence Goodrich will discuss these and other problems in Sudan.

Draught is threatening southern Africa.  Zimbabwe has already been hard hit, and the death toll in Malawi is rising daily. According to the UN World Food Program about 145,000 tons of food will be needed in the coming months. Our guests will talk about what can be done, if anything, to prevent disaster.
