Today marks the 30th anniversary
of the worst political scandal in U.S. history. It led to the resignation
of a president. More importantly it showed the world that democracy works,
there were no riots in the streets, the military was not called out.
Our guests will discuss the impact of Watergate then and now.

Jason Carter, President Jimmy Carter’s
grandson first visited Africa with his grandfather in 1987. He has been
back as a representative of the Carter Center and most recently, as a Peace
Corps volunteer in Lochiel, South Africa. He will talk about his personal
experiences as well as the role the Peace Corps plays in improving lives.

have experimented with methods of mind control for use on their citizens
and enemies. Some have said that religious cults utilize mind control techniques
to recruit and convert new members. Still others have said that even advertising
could be considered a form of mind control. We'll discuss the history and
use of mind control and attempt to separate fact from fiction. |
