Every year the U-S Institute
of Peace sponsors a National Peace Essay contest for American high school
students. More than 3,000 students from across the country participated
in this year's contest. They had to answer this question: Can
Outsiders Help to Bring Peace in Civil Conflict? We will hear what
four of the students concluded and discuss the purpose of the contest with
a representative from the Institute.
