Topic: Rwandan Tribunal Reconvenes

An estimated 800,000 Rwandans were killed in the space of 100 days between April and June 1994. So far two nuns, a professor and a businessman have been found guilty of taking part in the genocide. The trials are set to reconvene and our guests will discuss what happens next and the importance of these trials.

Ms. Huston has traveled around the world talking and listening to families. In her book, Families As We Are , she writes about the changing face of what we now call family. We will discuss her findings and the new friends she has made throughout the world.

Topic: The Changing Relations Between North and South Korea

June 25,1950, the North Korean People’s Army crosses the 38th parallel and invades South Korea.  On June 27, 1950 US President Harry S. Truman ordered the US Air Force and US Navy to help South Korea. The United States has been involved with the two countries ever since.  Last year, relations started to warm between the two Koreas. How will this change the role the United States plays? Our guests will discuss these and other issues surrounding the two Koreas. .
