Prisoners of conscience are defined as people who are imprisoned, detained, or otherwise physically restricted because of their political, religious or other conscientiously-held beliefs or because of their origin, sex, color or language and who have not used or advocated violence. We will discuss people who are presently being detained under this definition.

Topic: Jihad and the conflict between Islam and Christianity

In his book, The Shade of Swords,Akbar traces the origins of jihad, a holy war against infidels. We will discuss the conflict between Islam and Christianity, which has existed in one form or another for the last fourteen-hundred years and why the Muslim world is fuelled by the perception of injustice and exploitation by the West.
