Computers for the World started
in 1998 by Rotary Club in Seattle, Washington. Robin DuBrin was the founding
member. The mission of this project is to provide information technology
to international communities in need. Computers are sent primarily to orphanages,
schools, technical institutes and community centers. Ms. DuBrin will discuss
the program and how to participate.

A new research center for
the impartial study of globalization has been established at George Washington
University in Washington, D.C. Globalization is defined by some as the
interdependence of the world’s nation’s in terms of financial, economic,
trade and social development. We will discuss the first projects to be
undertaken by the Center and explore the effects of globalization on governments,
investment and information technology. |
